From our humble beginnings in a converted chicken coop in Ashland, Alabama as a manufacturer of cabinets for government housing 25 years ago, we have evolved to a competitive manufacturer of residential cabinetry in a 200,000 square foot facility in Alexander City, Alabama.

Douglas Wellborn, founder of Wellborn Forest Products, Inc., brought his experience and founding principles from Wellborn Cabinet where his vision came to life. The dream to produce quality cabinetry with extraordinary construction features in designer styles and finishes at affordable prices became a reality. The tradition continues today by offering innovative door styles that appeal to everyone ranging in contemporary styles to traditional styles in a wide palette of colors from light to dark brown stains and paints varying from white to black. Specialty finishes are available with several choices of glazes to the stains and paints as well as distressed characteristics.

Wellborn is proud to manufacture cabinets for the independent, regional cabinet and builder retail markets in Eastern US. Our cabinetry design appeals to the professional designer and installer because the product is designed for the remodel market as well as new home construction. Designed with installers and remodelers in mind, our cabinetry is strong enough for years of use and presents a style that is generally found only in the custom cabinetry price point.
